An upcoming Raw taping is now cancelled. WWE prides itself on staying true to their dedication to provide weekly episodes since its inception in 1993. Even when travel was cancelled due to snow, WWE still provided a show from the corporate offices.
The Raw episode for December 23, which will be taped at Sioux City Iowa on December 17, is now cancelled, per an announcement from the Tyson Events Center. This is just a month after the Siouxland News announced Raw coming to the city.

This taping would have been the first time in six years that Raw was hosted from Sioux City. This occurred on July 1, 2013, and was promoting the upcoming Money in the Bank pay-per-view which occurred on July 14.
In the previous Raw from Sioux City, Vickie Guerrero was the Raw Adviser, and the show started off with the MITB contenders, along with Kane. Interestingly, Bray Wyatt – now the Universal Champion as “The Fiend,” – was having vignettes of an upcoming debut for the following week.
Other highlights included Dolph Ziggler defeating Jinder Mahal, who was still a member of 3MB, Brad Maddox was the assistant to Vickie Guerrero, Kane defeated Randy Orton by pinfall, CM Punk and Curtis Axel were both Paul Heyman guys, Cody was teaming with Damien Sandow as The Rhodes Scholars, and Cesaro (still as Antonio Cesaro) was teaming with Jack Swagger with Zeb Colter as their manager.
As of now, there has not been an update on what WWE is going to do for the Christmas Raw episode. Raw usually tapes the Christmas and New Year’s night episodes, except for the controversial decision to go live in 2017.
