Reby Hardy Is Confident That She Could ‘Whoop’ Sister Abigail

For the past eight months, fans have been waiting for the moment for Matt Hardy to reprise one of the best gimmicks in all of 2016. Taking his career to an entirely new level with his “Broken” gimmick in Impact Wrestling, Hardy quickly became one of the most popular names of the year. However, due to a relationship with Impact that would eventually become acrimonious, the “Broken” character became a stalemate of legal issues.

However, when it was reported by PWInsider that Anthem is no longer holding up the trademark, and they will not dispute it following the 30-day timeframe, Hardy was now free to use it at his leisure. Since his brother Jeff is out for a number of months due to injury, his string of losses has led to an “awakening.”

Hardy would go from teasing, to full character, after losing to Bray Wyatt on a previous episode of Raw. Following the match, Hardy had a metamorphosis, and the “Delete!” chants were in full effect. On the previous Raw, Bray Wyatt’s familiar titantron promos were frequently interrupted by Hardy retorts, who was also on the jumbo screen.

Now, it looks as if Matt’s wife Reby is all-in for the “Woken” WWE revision of the gimmick. She even pitched her tent in the Matt and Wyatt feud, sharing her thoughts of what she would do to Sister Abigail.

When a fan posted, “I bet Reby Hardy could whoop Sister Abigail,” Reby responded, “bet.”

Reby, her father “Senor Benjamin,” and the “Vanguard One” machine were all critical components in making the “Broken” gimmick as successful as it became. Although Bray Wyatt was going to debut Sister Abigail during his feud with Finn Balor, but the match was nixed at TLC due to health issues, Sister Abigail could possibly make a debut as a separate person – with Reby involved – on screen. Especially, if WWE wants to extend this feud to WrestleMania 34.

Editor’s Note: This feud with Bray Wyatt is a perfect way to use the “Broken” gimmick, and it is something I have been promoting to happen on the Pancakes and Powerslams Show since Jeff became injured.
