As previously reported, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt defeated Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel to commence his first reign as Universal Champion. As a result of Bray Wyatt and Brock Lesnar both being exclusive to SmackDown, this means that the Universal Championship and the WWE Championship will be featured on Friday Nights.
Celebrating his Universal Championship win, Bray Wyatt commented on the title victory.
You can’t kill it.

Taking full advantage of both titles now being featured on SmackDown, FOX threw shots at USA and the Raw brand for now being without a top title.

Similar to many comments on Twitter, The Fiend being Universal Champion does cause quite a bit of confusion as to how the top titles will be featured on the same brand. However, until this is all figured out, FOX will continue to capitalize on this achievement.
Bray Wyatt is scheduled to be featured on MizTV come Friday Night SmackDown.

To make sure that there is no confusion that Wyatt will be staying on SmackDown, FOX commented on a fan stating that there is going to be a wildcard rule in effect, “How? Bray Wyatt is a SmackDown Superstar.”
In addition to the confusion this brings regarding the top champions being on the same brand, WWE also announced that NXT will be involved at the Survivor Series pay-per-view this year as well.
Over the past two years, the top champions have squared off against each other at Survivor Series. In 2017, Universal Champion Brock Lesnar defeated WWE Champion AJ Styles. In 2018, Lesnar – once again as Universal Champion – defeated WWE Champion Daniel Bryan. This year, Lesnar is WWE Champion, Wyatt is now Universal Champion, and the NXT Champion is Adam Cole. All three competitors are technically heels, which makes it even more of an odd match-up.
There is only a few weeks left until Survivor Series, and the ending of Crown Jewel left a bunch of confusion that needs to be hashed out before then.
