For a number of years, there have been rumors of The Undertaker retiring at WrestleMania. In 2014, when he lost to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30, Undertaker walked away from the ring in a state of having the fans believe that it will be his last match. However, he would compete against Bray Wyatt, Shane McMahon, and Roman Reigns in the following years.
Last year at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, Undertaker upped the suspicion that he will retire from in-ring action, seeing how he disrobed following his loss to Roman Reigns. He would also walk over to his wife, Michelle McCool, and give her a kiss before descending down and smoke ascending from the ramp.
Here is WWE marking WrestleMania 33 as Undertaker’s possible last appearance.
The latest string of rumors projected Undertaker returning for yet another WrestleMania match to compete against John Cena. However, WWE threw some curveballs in the fan’s expectations over the past few weeks. One, with Undertaker cutting a promo that drew much suspicion on if he is done, and the other with Cena qualifying for the Elimination Chamber. If there is a program with Undertaker and Cena, it will not begin until the end of February.
Now, according to Pop Culture, a recent video of Undertaker working out and dying his hair once again could be a sign of him preparing for another WrestleMania match.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently reported that Undertaker is still scheduled to compete against Cena at WrestleMania unless he decides to change his mind and actually does end his in-ring career. Ultimately, the WWE Universe will see how it unfolds as the weeks progress.
