And so much for that. One of the hottest stories this week has been the feud between Corey Graves and Booker T. The two of them were supposedly at odds over Graves taking Booker T.’s commentary spot, which resulted in Booker T. promising to beat Graves up if he ever ran into him on the street. Well, about all that…

Graves appeared on a recent episode of Booker T.’s “Heated Conversations podcast, revealing that the entire story was a work and a joke with no truth to it whatsoever. The two spoke about being friends who enjoyed messing with each other but this time it was picked up on and turned into a big joke. Also of note: Graves mentioned that no wrestling journalist ever called either of them to ask what was going on and even fellow wrestlers weren’t sure what was going on.

Here’s the conversation.

Opinion: While this might not have been the biggest story in the world, it’s still cool to see some wrestlers doing an old school feud like this for the sake of just having some fun. It wasn’t going to lead to a match or anything but at least they did something that got people talking. If nothing else, it’s proof that this way of setting things up can work in WWE, even if the company doesn’t seem interested in doing so for whatever reason.

What did you think of this story? Would you like to see more of this kind of feud? Let us know in the comments below.
