At 50 years old, Kane is going to be in the main event of one of the biggest pay-per-views of the year. With over 20 years under his current persona, Kane is looking to use his closing time in the WWE as a chance to become champion again. On January 28, he will be in a triple threat match, along with Braun Strowman, in hopes to win the WWE Universal Championship for the first time.

Interestingly, Kane is mostly known for being in the Royal Rumble match. For 13 years, he held the record for single eliminations in the Royal Rumble at 11, before that record was broken by Roman Reigns in 2014.

Kane eliminates a record 11 entrants in the Royal Rumble

Kane was recently interviewed by the New York Post regarding his Royal Rumble main-event match and current Knox County mayoral campaigning.

Although Kane feels that he can still perform at a high level, he admitted that he does not have many more opportunities left. Regarding main-eventing the Royal Rumble Kane revealed, “I have to take advantage of everyone that comes along. This might be the last one. I don’t know. I certainly think the match at Royal Rumble is going to be special for me.”

Kane will be experiencing a “first-ever” moment in his WWE career. While being mostly known for his domination in the Royal Rumble match, Kane has never competed on the event for a world title.
