Despite constantly being billed as “the first ever Universal Champion,” Finn Balor has experienced a bit of a slump as of late. With the exception of performing the Coup De Grace to John Cena en route to his elimination, Balor over the past few months has mainly been placed in matches involving Kane and the Miztourage. In fact, Balor was in a squash match against Kane, and the Big Red Monster defeated Balor handily.
He would also attack Balor during a segment on a following Raw, which you can view below.
During a recent episode of Table for 3 on the WWE Network, Balor sat down with Matt and Jeff Hardy and discussed their roads to the WWE. One of the topics was giving a goal that each person has during the remainder of their career.
Balor mentioned that he would like to create another alter ego, as it is “The Demon” right now. Balor explained that it could be named “Fatal Finn,” and he discussed that earlier with the Hardy Boys.
Regarding what is next for the immediate future, I had the pleasure of speaking with Dave Meltzer on the latest episode of the Pancakes and Powerslams Show. We discussed a number of topics, including where Finn can be heading for WrestleMania 33. You can hear the discussion by clicking here.
