Last night, on Jan. 8, WWE made its groundbreaking announcement by revealing the long-awaited WWE Network. In an update to the WWE Network, some insider information pertaining to it was released the following day.

Also on the following day, NXT taped a couple of weeks of programming at Full Sail University. At the tapings, WWE COO Triple H revealed that WWE Network will air a live special event of NXT on Feb. 27, 2014, shortly after the Feb. 24 release date of WWE Network.

The NXT tapings on Jan. 9 will likely run through Feb. 5. After that, according to WWE superstar Cody Rhodes, NXT will tape up to the live special event during tapings on Jan. 30. However, the tapings have not been added to WWE.com yet. Following the live special event on Feb. 27, NXT will return to being a taped program.
