As seen during the “Money in the Bank” pay-per-view on June 29, Seth Rollins won the traditional Money in the Bank Ladder match, virtually guaranteeing that he will be a WWE World Heavyweight Champion in the future. Rollins won the match largely due to interference from Kane, who prevented Dean Ambrose from grabbing the briefcase in the later stages of the match.
The next night, on “Monday Night Raw,” Seth Rollins wasted no timed in attempting to cash in his contract for a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match. In the main event, the four men who will compete for the title at “Battleground” were in action. Titleholder John Cena and Roman Reigns teamed up to face Randy Orton and Kane.
At one point in the match, Reigns and Orton brawled to the back, leaving just Cena and Kane out there with WWE COO Triple H watching from ringside. Kane then wasted no time in demolishing the champion. He got himself disqualified by using the steel steps, and eventually hit a “Tombstone” on Cena. Seth Rollins then pounced on the opportunity, rushing down to the ring. However, Dean Ambrose foiled the plans of Rollins, coming out of nowhere and chasing Rollins into the crowd.
On WWE.com, the website recently asked the WWE Universe when Rollins should cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase. There were five options to choose from: one day (“Raw,”) one week, one month, six months, and one year. With just under 24,000 votes cast, one day is leading with 31% of the votes. Six months comes in second with 21%. Tied for third is one month and one year, which both garnered 20%. In last is one week with 9%.

Editor’s Note
I really thought Dean Ambrose would get the briefcase at “Money in the Bank.” It still wouldn’t surprise me if Rollins puts his briefcase on the line at “SummerSlam,” presuming the two battle at the event.
