On Friday, Jan. 9, WWE aired the final edition of “Smackdown” on Friday evenings, prior to the show’s transition to Thursday evenings on Jan. 15. At the Friday show, Daniel Bryan will be making his return to in-ring competition. Back to the present, during the final showing of “Smackdown” on Friday nights for the foreseeable future, two more entrants were added for the 2015 Royal Rumble match.
While cutting a promo about his continued victories over Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt noted that he will arrive in the Royal Rumble match in three weeks time. Additionally, before squaring off against Sin Cara, Intercontinental Champion Bad News Barrett declared his entry into the 30-man Royal Rumble match.
Wyatt and Barrett join Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan, and Rusev as the five men confirmed for the year’s Royal Rumble match. Reigns declared his entry upon his return at “TLC.” Similarly, Bryan made his announcement during his return to “Monday Night Raw” on Dec. 29. Rusev, on the other hand, announced his participation in the match during the Jan. 6 showing of “Main Event,” live on the WWE Network.
Editor’s Note
With Wyatt rumored to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania 31, I’m curious as to what will happen to him during the 2015 Royal Rumble match.
