Triple H Discusses Brock Lesnar's Return, Wife's "Arrest," and More

As is the case on Wednesdays, WWE.com posted the latest sit-down interview between WWE COO Triple H and commentator Michael Cole. As always, the two discussed the hottest topics in regards to the WWE product.

Cole began by grilling “The King of Kings” about Stephanie McMahon’s arrest on “Monday Night Raw.” Triple H stated that he could not speak on the matter because of pending legal action. WWE’s COO was enraged at Cole for inquiring about it in the first place because prior to the interview, “HHH” claimed that Cole knew the topic could not be discussed. Going further, Cole said that all he wanted to know was how Stephanie McMahon was feeling. Hunter quickly snapped again, eventually telling Cole to move on.

Tensions eased as Cole inquired about Triple H’s choice to have Brock Lesnar face John Cena at “SummerSlam.” Triple H explained his reasoning, noting that earlier in the night, he guaranteed Cena would not retain his title at “SummerSlam.” Continuing, he stated that Brock Lesnar is a man who can make that promise ring true.

Cole then brought up the fact that Lesnar may have ended The Undertaker’s career at WrestleMania XXX, wanting to know if it is worth it to put WWE’s biggest franchise star in the ring with Lesnar. Triple H replied, noting that it is best for business. Triple H said that he knows the WWE Universe wants Cena to face the best competition. Continuing, he stated that if it comes with the price of ending Cena’s career, so be it.

Lastly, the two talked about the WWE Performance Center recently celebrating its one year anniversary.
