Here in 2015, TNA’s “Impact Wrestling” will debut on Destination America. The company has gone a bit of a transformation, with its new logo, new television home, added content, and fresh faces. According to a recent report from PWInsider, TNA will also be making major changes to how it brands “Impact Wrestling.”

When the show premieres on Destination America on Wednesday, Jan. 7, there will reportedly be a heavy theme of reality television, much more so than in the past. Part of the transformation will see TNA’s camera crews attempt to pick up everything. For example, TNA is looking to grab footage of wrestlers walking around backstage, entering the building, and even when they’re out of character, which would see TNA “break kayfabe.”

The move may very well stem from Dixie Carter, as she is said to be very much into reality television. Even further, Destination America contains many reality television programs, which also played a factor in rebranding. TNA reportedly has no problem with changing the format of “Impact Wrestling” to better suit its new home in Destination America.

Editor’s Note

“I am intrigued to see if this hurts or helps TNA’s #brand,” writes Darren Rovell.
