On Tuesday, March 10, WWE taped the March 12 showing of “Smackdown” in Detroit, Michigan at the Joe Louis Arena.
Below are the spoilers for the March 12 “Smackdown:”
The show kicked off with none other than Daniel Bryan, who announced his involvement in the Intercontinental Championship Ladder match at WrestleMania 31. Bryan was then joined in the ring by five of his future opponents: Stardust, Dean Ambrose, Luke Harper, Dolph Ziggler, and Bad News Barrett. The six men brawled, while R-Truth stood atop the stage with the championship gold in his possession.
1) Los Matadores, Cesaro, and Tyson Kidd def. Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and The Usos- One of Los Matadores got the win for his team, pinning Kofi.
Next, a video promo for John Cena vs. Rusev at WrestleMania aired.
2) Ryback def. The Miz- Prior to the match, Miz told Mizdow to stay backstage. Mizdow would oblige, as Ryback made quick work of Miz.
Roman Reigns entered the ring to cut a promo on Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar. A returning Mark Henry interrupted him, telling the young Reigns that he needs to earn the respect of fans, in addition to the guys in the back. Reigns took heed of Henry’s words, laying him out with a “Superman Punch,” followed by a spear.
Then, a video promo aired for Bray Wyatt vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania.
3) Paige and AJ Lee def. Summer Rae and Cameron- The Bella Twins, who will face Paige and AJ Lee at WrestleMania, were on commentary for the match. Paige won the match for her and AJ, making Summer tap out to the “Paige Tap Out.” Following the match, The Bella Twins entered the ring, verbally clashing with AJ and Paige.
Backstage, Mark Henry was interviewed. ‘The World’s Strongest Man” said he does not believe Roman Reigns can beat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.
Presumably, a Randy Orton interview will air before the main event.
4) Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, and Dean Ambrose def. Bad News Barrett, Stardust, and Luke Harper- Bryan picked up the victory for his team, hitting his running knee on Harper. Afterwards, Michael Cole interviewed the winning team. The future opponents began to obtain animosity for each other. Before leaving the ring, Ambrose called Bryan a “turd.” Ziggler followed suit, also calling Bryan a “turd,” before leaving. To close “Smackdown,” Bryan asked fans if Ambrose and Ziggler were right, to which the crowd responded with an emphatic “No!” chant.
