WWE holds its biggest event of the year, WrestleMania 31, on Sunday, March 29, in Santa Clara, California at Levi’s Stadium. With the event just a couple of days away, there is still no confirmation that “The Celtic Warrior” Sheamus will be part of “The Show of Shows.”

For more than a month now, WWE has been hyping his return with a series of vignettes. However, Sheamus did not appear on the Road to WrestleMania, and no set date has been announced for his return. Previous reports stated that Sheamus is scripted to remain off of WWE programming until the day of WrestleMania.

It appears that WWE’s plan has remain unchanged, and Sheamus will indeed return at WrestleMania. According to a report from F4WOnline, Sheamus is currently penciled in the script for WrestleMania 31. Though, what capacity Sheamus will serve at the event is unknown.

Contrary to earlier fan speculation, it appears Sheamus will not be part of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. The battle royal is now set at an even 20 participants, the presumed final field. Additionally, the bout is now slated for the WrestleMania Kickoff, airing at 5 p.m EST on the WWE Network.

WWE’s plans could definitely change, as there are always last-minute changes to its shows’ scripts. The WWE Universe will have to simply wait and see if Sheamus does indeed return on March 29.

Editor’s Note

Perhaps we see Sheamus interfere or have post-match involvement in the John Cena vs. Rusev match? It was Rusev that Sheamus feuded with, prior to his injury. On the other hand, I could also see Sheamus turn heel and immediately target Cena. I’m not sure where else Sheamus would slot in at WrestleMania.
