New Divas Champion Crowned at “Survivor Series”

The Nov. 23 “Survivor Series” pay-per-view saw the Divas Championship change hands. In the second Divas bout of the night, Nikki Bella defeated AJ Lee, the reigning and defending Divas Champion. The other Divas match from the 2014 “Survivor Series” event saw Natalya, Alicia Fox, Emma, and Naomi all survive and defeat Paige, Cameron, Summer Rae, and Layla in an eight-Diva Traditional Survivor Series Elimination match.

Nikki Bella obtained the victory very quickly against AJ Lee with help from Nikki’s twin sister, Brie, who was still serving as her personal assistant. At the time of the event, Brie had just two days left to serve as Nikki’s personal assistant, a result of Brie’s loss to Nikki at “Hell in a Cell.”

Brie helped her sister win the Divas Championship by kissing AJ Lee, just prior to the match starting. This allowed Nikki to catch AJ Lee off guard, throwing a quick punch at her, then using her “Rack Attack” finishing maneuver.  For the first time in months, Brie and Nikki Bella were on the same page, and working together.

Nikki Bella is now a two-time Divas Champion, and this is her first reign in more than two years, as she first won the prestigious women’s title in April of 2012.
