WWE Superstar Roman Reigns was recently interviewed by the Reno Gazette-Journal in order to promote his appearance at the Reno Comic Con on Nov. 22. Reigns, who is still slated to be the man who faces Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31, will soon be returning to WWE in the month of December. Reigns hit on a number of WWE topics during his interview, most notably constant comparisons to John Cena.

Reigns doesn’t like being called a “mini John Cena,” just because as a wrestler, he is beating his opponents and making it look easy:

“Last time I checked, I’m 6’3″ 265 pounds, which is bigger than John Cena. Last time I checked, my hair is long and jet black, and last time I checked John Cena’s isn’t. I’m way better looking and I’m way more athletic than he is so for anybody to compare me to him is completely asinine.”

The former WWE Tag Team Champion talked about the life of a WWE star, bringing up some of the strange gifts he has received:

“It’s not like we’re movie stars — we don’t just sit on the set for five months and have a trailer. It seems like a lot of glamor but … we have to rent cars, we have to rent hotels, we have four- to five-hour drives every single night, so there’s a lot of responsibility just getting to the next town and putting yourself up.”

“Watch, I’ll get some kind of gift from the lobby … (or) a coffee mug from a gas station with the name of the town on it. Fans will give some pretty weird stuff.”

The powerhouse of The Shield also hit on the three former Shield members finding success in their singles careers:

“This is what everybody needs to understand, we’re all doing awesome. I mean, we’re all in that very top ring, we’re all top competitors and we’re all the future of the WWE. For any fan to complain that one of us is doing better than the other … is just complete B.S.”

Be sure to read the piece in its entirety, here. Reigns also gives his thoughts on what he hopes to aspire upon his return to WWE.

Editor’s Note

I like reading the confidence from Reigns.
