Sting may debut for WWE at “Survivor Series” on Nov. 23. According to a new report from PWInsider.com, the former WCW and TNA World Heavyweight Champion has been told to make his way to St. Louis, where the annual November Pay-Per-View event will emanate on Nov. 23.

The “Man called Sting” has never set foot inside of a WWE ring on PPV or television. The only time Sting has ever been in any sort of “match” for the company has been when gamers have selected the playable Sting character in WWE’s latest installment of video games, “WWE 2K15.” Sting was the bonus character gamers received if they pre-ordered the company’s latest video game title.

Reports have hit the web about Sting’s possible involvement with the company since he ended his tenure with TNA in January. Although some reports claimed that the Icon had signed a Legends deal with WWE prior to WrestleMania XXX, others claimed that Sting and WWE had only signed a deal to produce WWE licensed merchandise featuring the superstar’s likeness, include him at special events such as signings and press conference, and his inclusion in “WWE 2K15.”

Merchandise began hitting WWEShop.com in July after his involvement with the game was announced, while rumors claimed Sting would be competing in at least one match for the company, preferably at WrestleMania 31. The opponent that Sting has been waiting to face at his first, and possibly only WrestleMania event, is The Undertaker.

Sting has said on a number of occasions that Undertaker is who he wants to have his WrestleMania moment with, although he has also stated that superstars such as John Cena, Triple H, or Daniel Bryan are all great talent that he would love to work with in the future. Sting’s involvement at “Survivor Series” may lead to an encounter with one of these competitors should he appear on the program.

PWInsider.com reports that the company wants to use the debut of Sting on Nov. 23 to help gain subscribers to the WWE Network, as the event will be free for new subscribers in the month of November. Their belief is that Sting being featured on the event will force people who didn’t see his debut to subscribe in order to watch, and it will bring eyes back to WWE programming the following night on “Monday Night Raw” as the company proceeds to building towards its next PPV event, “TLC.”

Where Sting will fit in is yet to be seen, but one has to imagine if he debuts, it will be to play a major part in the event’s main event, which will see Team Cena face Team Authority. If Team Cena loses, everyone on the squad, aside from Cena, will be fired. If Team Authority loses, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon will no longer be in power.

Editor’s Note:
Could the Stinger save Team Cena and become the new acting General Manager of the company?!? If he debuts, it’ll likely be the end of the main event and Team Authority are all ganging up on Cena, lights go out, crowd thinks Taker or Wyatt are going to be in the middle of the ring…but it’s Sting instead with a bat…and he goes to work. #MarkOutMoment
