WWE aired another edition of its flagship program, “Monday Night Raw,” on June 8. The show served as the final showing of “Monday Night Raw” prior to the 2015 “Money in the Bank” pay-per-view. It featured final build towards the event, including a NXT Championship Open Challenge match between titleholder Kevin Owens and Neville.
According to TVByTheNumbers.com, the June 8 episode of “Monday Night Raw” averaged 3.645 million viewers. This figure is down about eight percent from last week’s viewership mark of 3.973 million. The viewership dip comes on a night in which WWE faced stiff competition in the form of the National Hockey League’s Stanley Cup Final and FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Below is the hourly viewership breakdown for the June 8 “Monday Night Raw:”
Hour 1: 3.678 million viewers
Hour 2: 3.609 million viewers
Hour 3: 3.647 million viewers
For the night, “Monday Night Raw” was the second most-viewed cable program, trailing only NBC Sports Network’s coverage of Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final. WWE obtained a rating of 1.3 for adults aged 18-49, down from last week’s mark of 1.4. In terms of ratings, WWE finished behind both the NHL and VH1 for its coverage of the “Love & Hip Hop” series.
Editor’s Note
At least the NBA Finals didn’t air this night. WWE would have seen an even bigger viewership drop.
