On the most recent edition of “Monday Night Raw,” the first showing of the program following “Hell in a Cell,” saw John Cena’s plans for “Survivor Series” already etched in stone. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, The Authority, announced that there would be a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination match, pitting “Team Cena” vs. “Team Authority.”
While no additional members have yet been confirmed, all signs point to Dolph Ziggler joining Cena’s team. The two were featured in a backstage segment, in which they embraced each other, and shook hands. Additionally, Ziggler has begun a mini-feud with Kane, the on-screen WWE Director of Operations and member of The Authority.
Despite being previously advertised for next week’s “Monday Night Raw” on Nov. 3, the number one contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship has been pulled from advertisements on WWE.com. Additionally, advertisements in Buffalo, the location of the week’s “Raw,” are now advertising the dark match as Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose. Earlier in the week, Cena was advertised for the dark match.
It is not known why Cena will be missing the program. Earlier in the year, Cena had missed a couple showings of “Monday Night Raw” due to his work in the film industry.
Editor’s Note
This may have something to do with Cena looking to produce his own reality series, or filming for one of his many upcoming films. Look for Ziggler to be made official for Team Cena to prolong the storyline, and a feud like Ambrose vs. Wyatt to get the spotlight.
