WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross recently updated his Q&A section on his website, JrsBarBq.com. In his most recent update Ross answered questions about a variety of wrestling topics such as Vince McMahon retiring, WWE’s TV Deals being a bargain for networks, and many others.
“Good Ol’ JR” wrote the following regarding a question that asked him if/when he sees Vince McMahon retiring and if Shane McMahon would take over WWE after Vince’s retirement:
“Vince will never retire and I see HHH taking over upon VKM’s passing.”
Ross also talked about WWE being underpaid in terms of its television deals and whether its impending increase in revenue will lead to the likes of Brock Lesnar and The Rock returning full-time:
“I don’t know any details on the WWE TV rights feel particulars except to know that they are currently being grossly underpaid. I expect their rights fees to increase significantly. Nonetheless, I do not see Rock ever coming back full time or Lesnar for that matter even though Brock might be convinced to work a few more TV dates. It’s not about the money to them but they enjoy their non WWE lives.”
Ross also answered a question about how much the announcers know about the outcome of a match beforehand:
“We were privy to it if we wanted the info but I always preferred to know less and to be more spontaneous.”
