Update on Roddy Piper Working WrestleMania

As we previously reported, there have been rumblings of “Rowdy” Roddy Piper going against Hulk Hogan in some capacity at WrestleMania XXX. The 30th edition of the pay-per-view will occur on April 6 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, La.

In an update to the story, according to PWInsider, it was Piper who pitched the idea of him teaming up with another heel to face John Cena and Hulk Hogan. His idea would then play off of the WrestleMania I main event which saw Hogan and Mr. T defeat Piper and Paul Orndorff.

Although the build to a possible match will likely not take place next week, Piper has been advertised to appear on the Jan. 6 Old School edition of “Monday Night Raw.”
