Nothing is set in stone, especially in the business of professional wrestling, but all signs point to “The Animal” Batista taking home the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXX. F4WOnline has recently published a report, naming possible opponents for Batista at WWE SummerSlam 2014.

The website is reporting that three names were being discussed internally to square-off against Batista at this year’s SummerSlam pay-per-view. These names listed for the match were John Cena, Daniel Bryan, and CM Punk. However, it looks like CM Punk will no longer be with WWE then, as his contract expires in July. Therefore, initial plans call for Daniel Bryan or John Cena to wrestle Batista at the annual event.

Only time will tell if Batista is in fact WWE World Heavyweight Champion come SummerSlam, but perhaps the event will culminate in Daniel Bryan finally having a legitimate run as WWE’s top champion. The event will occur on Aug. 17, 2014, 364 days after Daniel Bryan won the WWE Championship from John Cena, only for Triple H to turn on him, allowing Randy Orton to cash-in his Money in the Bank contract and defeat Bryan, becoming the new WWE Champion.
