As we previously reported, WWE is looking at John Cena and Daniel Bryan to be the number-one and number-two for the company following WrestleMania XXX. Additionally, we also reported that WWE is also planning on pushing multiple talents following its grand spectacle such as Cena, Bryan, Cesaro, and many others.
In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it is noted that WWE has an internal list on who it believes can lead the company going forward. The five members, who WWE believes will be the biggest WWE Superstars going past WrestleMania XXX are: John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, Sheamus, and Roman Reigns.
Most notably, Batista did not crack the top-five. Although Batista is in the main event of WrestleMania XXX, won this year’s Royal Rumble, and has returned to work a full-time schedule; he failed to make the list. That may very well not be a very good sign for “The Animal” going forward, if the reports are indeed true. Perhaps, now that Daniel Bryan can be in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania, Bryan, not Batista, will walk out as the champion.
Roman Reigns’ inclusion on the list likely means big things are in store for the powerhouse of The Shield. While his WrestleMania XXX plans are not yet finalized, expect Reigns to receive a massive push after WrestleMania XXX, or when The Shield split, depending on which comes first.
