Here in 2014, John Cena is working on two movie projects for the following year. First, he was announced to appear in Judd Apatow’s upcoming “Trainwreck” movie, in which Cena will share the spotlight with such stars as Lebron James and Daniel Radcliffe. Cena has recently been working on the film, causing him to miss the July 21 showing of “Monday Night Raw.” Additionally, he will miss the Aug. 4 edition of the program.
In 2015, Cena will also be sharing the spotlight with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. In the duo’s latest project, a film titled “The Nest,” John Cena will portray a villainous character. Not much else is known about Cena’s role, but this role will also cause him to miss some time from the squared circle.
With Cena recently missing “Raw,” there has reportedly been a lot of discussion about his movie career, according to PWInsider. Some of Cena’s fellow comrades have joked that he will soon be “bringing it via satellite,” a line that Cena used on Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson during their feud.
In fact, there are some within the company that are overly speculating on the matter. These people are pondering if Cena’s movie career takes off, he may be the next one to leave WWE for a Hollywood career. One reason that they believe this could be the case is the fact that Cena gets banged up year in and year out.
Editor’s Note
It’s preposterous to think that Cena will leave WWE to pursue a film career. In my opinion, acting level aside, he would be the last person that would leave the company solely for the film industry. Now, when he retires, it may be a different story. However, the only reason he’s going to retire or leave WWE is his health status or age.
