Sunday’s Roadblock: End of the Line show was co-main evented by the Women’s Championship match between Sasha Banks and Charlotte. Heading into the match, there were two big questions: will the women’s match — which was a 30-minute iron man match — main event the show? And would Sasha Banks successfully defend her Women’s Title? The answer to both of those questions ended up being no.
Sasha Banks has won the Women’s Championship three different times, but she hasn’t successfully defended it once, and on Sunday’s post-Roadblock edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained why The Boss hasn’t had a long reign with the title.
“I don’t know that Sasha is gonna get a long run with the championship,” said Meltzer. “She’s gotta overcome Vince, and Vince has never been that hot on her. The thing is, what Vince is worried about isn’t so much her getting a bloody nose or anything like that, Vince is more worried about her back.”
Sasha has been hurt a lot since her call up to the main roster, which, as Meltzer said, is why the WWE chairman isn’t too high on her holding the Women’s Championship for a long period of time.

Now, with the Sasha vs. Charlotte feud over, Sasha will likely begin a feud with the returning Emma on Raw, and Charlotte will likely begin feuding with Bayley over the Women’s Championship.
