On Sunday, Goldberg participated in the final match of his WWE contract, and it’s possible that we’ll never see the now former Universal Champion wrestle again. But, during his promo on Raw Talk, he seemed open to doing another match if the opponent is right.

On Monday’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Melter was asked about the future of Bill Goldberg in WWE. Here’s what he said:

“So the situation with Goldberg is pretty much the way he described it in the interview at the end. It was kind of a farewell, but at the end it was like ‘you never know.’ Right now his deal is up. It was up last night. There’s nothing planned for him, but everyone pretty much has the opinion that [his return] was a big success. If the situation is right for him to come back, it’d have to be the right opponent and the right scenario, you could do it.”
