On Friday, Seth Rollins joined Sirius XM’s Jim Norton and Sam Roberts to talk about his new movie, called Armed Response, which will be in select movie theaters and on video on-demand this coming November. You can check out the highlights of the interview below.
On people blaming CrossFit for his injuries: “For me, it’s just about having fun when I work out. Like, I just hate not having fun. Working out becomes boring and monotonous when you’re doing the same routine all the time. It just appeared to me to be a better way to be healthy, and so here I am. I’m 30 years old, and I’ve been wrestling for the better part of my life now, so I’m just bound to get hurt at some point. And both my knee injuries, to be fair, were freak accidents.”
On injuring Sting and John Cena: “I don’t like to hurt anybody — that’s a tough one. I’ve had a couple of situations where stuff has happened accidentally, you know, I smashed John Cena’s nose for example a couple years ago, and that was one of the first times where I ever hurt anybody. I hate it, yeah. Obviously, John didn’t care, and he knows how things happen, but for me, I don’t like to do that to anybody.
“Or the Sting thing, even though there was nothing that I could do about that at all, there’s nothing that I could’ve done, like that bothers me more than when I hurt my knee, that’s just my body, it’ll be fine, it’ll heal, it’s no big deal.”
