On Friday afternoon, WWE posted a “breaking news” update to their Twitter page, which said that former TNA/Impact Wrestling president Dixie Carter will appear in the upcoming Kurt Angle documentary on the WWE Network.

The documentary is scheduled to air this coming Monday night immediately following Raw. It’ll document Kurt Angle’s time away from WWE, his return to the company via the Hall of Fame, and his first face to face meeting with Vince McMahon in over a decade.

On Saturday’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez talked about why Dixie Carter is being allowed to appear in a WWE documentary.

Alvarez: “So we have this WWE 24 documentary about Kurt Angle that’s gonna be airing on the Network on Monday, and who should be making an appearance but Dixie Carter.

Meltzer: “Yeah, it’s interesting. She’s not with [TNA] anymore, and why not? Dixie Carter, when it comes to Kurt Angle, she should be in it. The fact that she’s not with Impact, that would open the door. That’s just how they think. If she was still with Impact there isn’t a prayer that she’d be on it. But she’s not, so there you go.”
