Brock Lesnar will defend his Universal Championship against Braun Strowman, Roman Reigns, and Samoa Joe in a fatal four way match at SummerSlam, which will take place on August 20.
On Monday’s Raw, Paul Heyman told Raw GM Kurt Angle that if Lesnar loses the Universal Championship at SummerSlam, he’ll leave WWE. But, it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen.
The Raw brand has a pay-per-view coming up next month called No Mercy, which Brock Lesnar is being advertised for. He’s also being advertised for upcoming Raw and SmackDown live events in the weeks leading up to, and the weeks following the No Mercy show.
On Saturday’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer pointed out that Paul Heyman, who has a big hand in everything Brock Lesnar does with WWE, is big on honoring stipulations, which likely means that Lesnar isn’t losing on August 20, because neither of them are leaving WWE for good.
“I don’t think [Roman Reigns] is winning at SummerSlam, because if he wins Lesnar and Heyman have to leave WWE and I don’t believe that they’re leaving WWE. Heyman has a hand, a big hand in all of this stuff that Lesnar does. And the one thing about Heyman is that Heyman is very much… If he announces a stipulation, he adheres to it.”
