Here’s the tease:

And then there’s this:

Matt Hardy is currently in a legal battle with Anthem Sports, the owners of TNA/Impact Wrestling, who have claimed ownership of the “broken” gimmick.

WWE has allowed Matt to do various “broken” things since he and his brother Jeff returned to the company back at WrestleMania 33, however, he hasn’t been allowed to do the actual gimmick. But, the fact that WWE is allowing him to tease it probably means that it’ll be in the company sooner rather than later.

Even though they’re still one of the most popular acts on the roster, it’s quite clear that the Hardys have cooled off quite a bit since their big WWE return this past spring, and the “broken” gimmick would certainly heat them back up again.

Do you think that we’ll see the “broken” Hardys in WWE before the end of this year? Let us know in the comments below, or over on Facebook!
