Unless something changes before tonight’s Raw, it looks like Finn Balor won’t be a part of this year’s WrestleMania, as WWE will likely hold off his return until after the event has concluded. Who he’ll end up in the ring with upon his return is still unknown, but he could end up getting an immediate title shot when he returns simply because he never actually lost the Universal Championship.

On Monday’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer was asked if the Demon King will get an immediate shot at the winner of the Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar match, which will probably be Lesnar, following WrestleMania 33. You can check out what he said below.

“I don’t know if I’d wanna do [Lesnar vs. Balor]. It doesn’t feel right. I don’t know, it’s know impossible. It does make sense though. He never lost the championship, so he should get a title soon. Absolutely. So that part of it makes sense, and you could do it that way. I just think… I don’t think they’d do it at the first one. I think they want to reintroduce him for a little while. But he could get a shot.”
