Watch Natalya Put Lay-Cool Through a Table FTW

Some are calling this the best Divas match ever. We’ll leave that call up to you. It certainly was filled with twists and turns — and a lot of painful kicks to the groin. Ouch!

Current Divas champion Natalya and Beth Phoenix seemed to have the upperhand in the early going, but Lay-Cool attempted a pretty nice comeback. At one time Natalya had Lay-Cool on her shoulders — yes, both of them — and looked like she might have a double takedown in the works, before the women were able to slip away.

The crowd really got into the match near the end when Natalya was sitting on top of the ropes in a corner, taking punches and looking completely stunned. The table was right in front of her, and Lay-Cool appeared to be going for the upset. But the tables turned (see what I did there?) when Phoenix arrived to rescue her partner, and Natalya somehow found the strength to toss Lay-Cool onto the table — but it didn’t break!

The refs get the final say as to whether the table is broken enough to end a match, and this ref didn’t feel the job was done. So what’s a champ to do? Bust out a Superfly Splash, that’s what. The end. Natalya remains the Divas champ, and in the process gave us a fantastic ending to an incredibly entertaining match. Well done!
