In many ways, the upcoming match between Goldberg and Brock Lesnar at “Survivor Series” is bulletproof. Their match will either be a highly entertaining slugfest or it’ll be a disappointment, which means a lot of people get to say they told you so.
Based on the build to the match over the past few weeks, the latter seems to be more likely. Between the confusing promo from Paul Heyman and Lesnar in Minneapolis and Goldberg’s botch last week on Raw, a lot of people within WWE are concerned.
According to a recent report from RingSideNews.com, WWE officials are working hard to ensure that Goldberg is the babyface is the heel headed into Toronto. That is why Heyman cut a heel promo in Minneapolis that the crowd essentially ignored.
That promo going poorly has a lot of people concerned within WWE that the Toronto crowd will hijack the match or favor Lesnar in the match. On paper, a lot of that is up to the performers in the ring, but there is only so much that everyone can do.
The way WWE officials are looking at it, they’re going to do everything they can to make sure that Lesnar gets booed at “Survivor Series” or their plans for the match could fail.
Do you have high expectations for Goldberg vs. Lesnar at “Survivor Series?”
