Why is Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg So Interesting?

Why are so many people interested in seeing Bill Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar again? The WWE Universe has been clamoring for the return of Goldberg to WWE, which has been rumored for months and months now.

The desire of the fans was heard loud and clear at “Summerslam” as Brock left the arena with Randy Orton’s blood still on his hands while the crowd chanted for Goldberg’s return to confront Lesnar.

For whatever reason, Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar is what the WWE Universe wants to see, which has been elevated by the marketing of WWE2K17 and heavily teases the former’s return to WWE programming.

Despite the fact that his return to WWE would be awe inspiring, why is a rematch of Wrestlemania 20 with Lesnar the pinnacle of what the fans want to see from his return when will success can come from it?

Most of the problem lies with Brock Lesnar. The last time Goldberg faced him was in 2004 and Lesnar was leaving WWE to enter the NFL. He hadn’t even stepped into The Octagon yet.

It’s confusing why fans want to see Goldberg challenge Lesnar when he hasn’t wrestled a real match in over twelve years and is clearly over-matched.

Goldberg was a powerhouse in his heyday, but how could a man of his age compete against Lesnar? Braun Strowman seems to make a lot more sense for Brock Lesnar than Goldberg if we’re being realistic.
