At Wrestlemania 32, The Lunatic Fringe failed to defeat The Beast in a “No Holds Barred” match. Fortunately, Ambrose didn’t lose any momentum losing to Lesnar, and both men put on a good fight for a solid match.

However, Brock Lesnar is gone until the next feud, and Dean Ambrose was surprisingly absent from Monday Night Raw, which forces the question of what is next for him?

Recently, there was a rumor that Ambrose would be in the main event picture after Wrestlemania. That could happen soon, but AJ Styles became the new No. 1 Contender for Roman Reigns’ WWE title on Raw.

The Intercontinental Championship is occupied. All due respect, Ambrose is above the US title. He’s not going to challenge reigns, which leaves him in the middle somewhere.

His natural progression is going to push him into the WWE title sooner rather than later. My guess is that he is the top choice to win the Money in the Bank Contract. If he wins the briefcase, he’s most likely going to call his shot for Summerslam.

Before then, there is a gap of a few months for him to find a feud. Chris Jericho could be the best option for Dean Ambrose right now because while Y2J is coming off a big Wrestlemania win over Styles, Ambrose is coming off a loss to The Beast Incarnate.

Ambrose needs a big win and a good heel to feud with, and Jericho fits that bill twice. It makes a lot of sense for WWE to bring Ambrose vs. Jericho together. The only question is how will they start the tension?
