Titus O’Neil’s suspension has been blown way out of proportion by all involved. The reason it’s become such an issue is because of Titus O’Neil’s generous persona and the fact that WWE is making an example out of him because they want everyone to be “more professional”.
On paper, you don’t pull on your boss like Titus did, but WWE is an unorthodox workplace. The same rules that apply to corporate offices don’t necessarily apply to WWE, or they didn’t until this incident.
According to ProWrestlinSheet.com, Titus O’Neil pulling back on Vince’s arm was said to be an act of courtesy towards Stephanie McMahon.
If you rewatch the video below, Stephanie was walking with Triple H, and Vince was in the front. Apparently, Titus pulled on Vince saying, “ladies first”.
As it turns out, chivalry is not dead. It just forces an image-conscious public company to suspend one of its most charitable and likable employees for trying to be a gentleman.
