This morning, we all woke up to the news that Titus O’Neil has been suspended by WWE for ninety days after an incident occurred at the end of Monday Night Raw with Vince McMahon.

You can watch the incident in question below to get a better idea of what happened:

Let’s get this straight, Daniel Bryan just had his big moment and retired in one of the most heartfelt and bittersweet retirement speeches ever. He leaves the arena, Vince starts making his way to the back after him.

Titus grabs his arm and pulls him back in what appears to be a joking matter. However, Vince pushes him off in what could be a playful reaction, but today’s actions are a clear indication that the incident upset him enough to slap a ninety-day suspension on Titus.

On paper, this doesn’t make any sense. First of all, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are right there, and they have little reaction to it at all, which indicates that they’re joking. If that is the incident in question, it’s very unlikely that is what got Titus suspended.

No one said a word about the incident that was clearly seen as the WWE Network Special came to a close. There were no rumors or speculation about it and the incident went unnoticed by the WWE Universe. Suddenly, a day later, he’s suspended for ninety days?

This is just speculation, but there is no way that little pull got him suspended outright. It’s most likely there was some kind of backstage confrontation, and Titus must have really upset Vince because ninety days is extremely excessive for something like this.

If McMahon was concerned about it airing on the WWE Network, it just goes back to the point that no one said anything. Triple H and Stephanie walked right by it. The WWE Universe didn’t say a word all day yesterday.

Not only that but ninety days is an insane punishment for something that could be looked at as a misunderstanding, especially when you factor in all the charity work Titus does that WWE has been displaying on Raw over the last few weeks.

You can find WWE’s Drug Policy information right here, and the first violation of the policy gets you a thirty-day suspension. Another violation gets you sixty days.

You’re telling me that Titus playfully pulling on Vince gets him the same amount of time as a two-strike offender of the drug policy? Something else is definitely going on backstage with Titus O’Neil, and it’s going to be really interesting to get more news on his suspension.
