Last night, the main event segment was the return of Brock Lesnar to Monday Night Raw along with Paul Heyman. The WWE crowd in Atlanta didn’t receive him as strongly as many expected.
As usual, Paul Heyman distracted the WWE Universe with his great work on the mic, but the show ended with Randy Orton drawing first blood on Lesnar with an RKO and celebrating in the crowd as Raw went off the air.
It was a good idea to add something of a cliffhanger for the WWE Universe to think about over the next twenty-four hours before SmackDown. But, what happened once Raw went off the air?
According to a report from RingSideNews.com, there was a six-man tag team match that featured some of the top WWE superstars from SmackDown making an appearance.
The current WWE Champion Dean Ambrose teamed with John Cena and Roman Reigns to face the team of AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, and Seth Rollins in what was said to be a good match that saw the faces go over.
One of the most curious dynamics of the brand extension is how Raw and SmackDown stars are going to interact with each other on WWE programming. For now, dark matches are a good idea.
