After WrestleMania 34, one of the most interesting ideas on Raw was the duo of Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre. Their chemistry is a pleasant surprise and both men have done great work on Raw for the last 3 months. However, the WWE Universe is wise to this kind of storyline and are waiting for the highly predictable rivalry between them.

McIntyre vs. Ziggler is only a matter of time, especially if WWE officials are planning to have Dolph drop the IC Championship to Drew down the line. However, a lot of people are wondering if McIntyre holding the IC Title for a while is all the powers that be have planned for him. According to the Wrestling Observer, that’s not the case at all for him.

WWE officials are planning a feud between McIntyre and Ziggler, but the purpose will be to catapult the former into the main event picture. McIntyre is working with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins on Raw. He’s being tested against the best that Raw has to offer, so it’s only a matter of time before Drew is competing against them for a bigger prize.

McIntyre and Ziggler have been great in their roles as top midcard heels on Raw:

There’s no question that Drew McIntyre’s momentum is building because the WWE fans are just waiting for him to double cross Ziggler and move onto bigger things. If WWE is smart in their booking, the angle could result in a nice babyface turn for Dolph as well as a monster heel run for McIntyre. On paper, you would assume their split will happen shortly after Summerslam unless something major changes with WWE’s creative plans.

Do you believe that Drew McIntyre deserves a main event push on Monday Night Raw?
