The WWE Hall of Fame is an exclusive club of accepted WWE legends and it’s not a club that everyone can get into even if they deserve it based on their accomplishments. The WWE Universe feels strongly about specific former WWE Superstars earning the honor of an induction. Unfortunately, Vader passing away proves that times is of the essence.
It’s no secret that Big Van Vader wanted to be inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame before his death. With his growing number of health issues, everyone knew that his time was limited. The WWE Universe was advocating for it to happen, but the timing just was not right for him and it’s a tragedy that Vader didn’t receive the honor during his lifetime.
A Tribute To Vader: One Of The Original Athletic Big Men
According to a report from Wrestling Observer Live, there’s a strong possibility of Vince McMahon giving the green light for Vader’s induction. A lot of people might complain it was due to his death, but his career will be immortalized all the same. His contributions to the business will be remembered by his peers and the fans. That’s what truly matters.
What could be worse is the company ignoring Big Van Vader longer like they have done with quite a few WWE legends. One of the obvious names would be Chyna, but that’s a much different situation. In Vader’s case, he was a WCW World Heavyweight Champion and an IWGP Heavyweight Champion during his career and accomplished much more.
A lot of people might look at Vader’s accomplishments and wonder why he wanted to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame when his WWE career wasn’t as successful. It has become the pinnacle of a career well done and it’s the ultimate showcase to respect the stars of the past. He might not have lived to see it, but he’s earned all our respect.
