Kevin Owens is mortal after all. It turns out that not even Mr. Wrestling can get away from the flu every once in awhile. While Rest Owens Rest does its job, Dean Ambrose prepares for WWE’s “TLC” PPV later this month in Boston.
Honestly, the build hasn’t been good enough between Ambrose and Owens to warrant a title change, but that doesn’t mean the feud should stop at one. Most likely, both men will be an entrant in the 2016 Royal Rumble next month. However, one of them is expected to be the IC Champion at that event.
Unfortunately for Owens, he’s not likely to win the Royal Rumble match, but he’s been doing excellent work as the IC Champion, and that should roll into the biggest show of the year. Arguably, Owens has had the best calendar year of any WWE performer over the last year. He should have a prime spot at Wrestlemania.
Who knows? Maybe, we’ll see Lesnar vs. Owens in Dallas.
