The current Intercontinental Champion, Kevin Owens is defending his title against Dean Ambrose is less than two weeks at “TLC”. That doesn’t give Ambrose vs. Owens very long to build to their match in Boston.

The pair has even less time after Kevin Owens was noticeably absent from last night’s edition of Monday Night Raw. The Intercontinental Champion has gone radio silent, but according to Wrestlezone’s Justin LaBar, there is a perfectly valid explanation for Owens’ absence last night.

LaBar posted the following update on Twitter for anyone wondering where Kevin Owens was last night:

Unfortunately, Owens is at home sick according to that update. That illness led to Dean Ambrose teaming with The Usos and Roman Reigns to take on the new League of Nations and The New Day in a seven on four handicap main event. Ambrose would be the one pinned by WWE Champion Sheamus for the loss last night.

Hopefully, Ambrose vs. Owens lasts longer than TLC because this feud has a lot of potential to steal the show in Boston later this month, but their feud needs to develop into a rivalry before their match will reach that level of intrigue.

Ambrose vs. Owens on the microphone and in the ring for the IC title is a golden feud any time of year. Both men are too talented not to figure something out next week and at “TLC”.
