Rumor: The Undertaker Will Officially Retire at WrestleMania 35

Obviously, this isn’t the first time the rumored end of The Undertaker’s career has been a topic of conversation. After the events of WrestleMania 33, the WWE Universe might just refuse to accept The Deadman’s retirement no matter the situation. However, this is the latest rumor via RingSideNews predicting the bitter end of The Undertaker’s career.

Joe Peisich made the prediction on Barnburner’s No Holds Barred podcast that WWE is planning to send off The Undertaker with a huge show at WrestleMania 35. The belief is the company will be inducting The Deadman into the WWE Hall of Fame and he will be having his final match on the grandest stage of them all against an unnamed opponent.

As the WWE Universe has learned with Shawn Michaels this year, there’s “retiring” and then there is RETIRING. WWE providing The Deadman a WrestleMania platform for his last match along with a Hall of Fame induction is a major sendoff. It seems WWE wants to put an exclamation point on The Undertaker’s retirement so the WWE Universe can’t read between the lines as we did after Orlando. New York will be a really clear ending.

This feud with HHH and HBK is tying all loose ends from The Undertaker’s career. The rumor of WWE working towards a double retirement between HBK and Taker makes a lot of sense because the fans won’t revolt against the two men ending each other’s runs.

However, some fans will complain about The Deadman not passing the torch to another young superstar. WWE officials tried to pass the torch to Roman Reigns, but it’s obvious the powers that be need to pick a better suiter. The roster is full of great options for the honor. The only question is who WWE officials will end up choosing to take that heat.
