The 2015 Slammy Awards have come and gone. They were fun for what they were, but it was a major step down from last week. A drop in quality was to be expected since WWE caught lightning in a bottle last weekend, but it was the structure of the Slammys that handcuffed WWE to put on a show they shouldn’t have.

Most notably, there were many awards won by superstars that weren’t even present. That’s why Brock Lesnar has Paul Heyman in the first place, but it happened far too many times. It bogged down the entire night.

Not only that but WWE’s version of what was a great year was watered down, a lot of the best options weren’t even nominated, and the voting discredited a great deal of success that WWE had in 2015. A lot of people say the voting is rigged. That’s unlikely, but it just goes to show who is actually voting for the Slammys every year.

Regardless, the votes have been cast, and the winners have been named. However, the snubs should still have their honorable mentions to recognize some of the best performers and moments of the year that the voting didn’t acknowledge.
