The last match of Stone Cold Steve Austin was at Wrestlemania 19 versus The Rock. It was an excellent match for both men, and Stone Cold called it a career by finally putting over The Rock at Wrestlemania.

Ever since that day, people have questioned if Stone Cold will ever wrestle again. There has always been the possibility of one more match against John Cena, CM Punk or recently, Brock Lesnar.

It’s been twelve years since his last match. That is a lot of time away from the squared circle. Even if the stars aligned, you couldn’t expect much from Stone Cold in the ring.

During the latest episode of the “Stone Cold Podcast”, Austin addressed the rumor of potentially wrestling at Wrestlemania 32. This rumor came about through the podcasts with Paul Heyman and then Brock Lesnar.

The bottom line is this:

“…I’m not willing to do anything that my heart’s not set on. I love my fans, I love the WWE fans, I love wrestling fans, I love wrestling… I just don’t need to wrestle anymore.”

Stone Cold also claimed that him wrestling a match isn’t about money. It’s about Austin doing what his heart wants, and if he hasn’t gotten the itch in twelve years, it’s most likely not going to happen.
