Over a month ago, James Storm was negotiating with WWE to become an active wrestler in NXT and a trainer to help the WWE Performance Center train new talent.

In early October, James Storm debuted on NXT in a match against Danny Burch. Unfortunately, there were rumors of Storm not yet signing his WWE deal, and Storm hasn’t returned to NXT since that taping.

In an update of the ongoing negotiation between WWE corporate and the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Storm has yet to sign on the dotted line, and they are still negotiating.

The rest of us are out of luck because there is no other news to report. There is no word on why Storm is still negotiating or what is holding him back from officially signing to his role in NXT and WWE.

The Samoa Joe signing was a similar situation where Joe worked sparingly in NXT as he finished up his required dates for other promotions. Recently, Alberto Del Rio did the exact opposite of that.

James Storm is a respected veteran of the industry, a former World Champion, and one of the greatest tag team wrestlers of all time in any promotion. It’s beneficial for both sides to work together, but it appears it’ll take some time before it becomes official.
