According to F4WOnline.com, Alberto Del Rio received a good offer from WWE to return. The plan was for Del Rio to be John Cena’s opponent at “Hell in a Cell” from the start of the angle. Del Rio and WWE have apparently had a deal for weeks leading up to “Hell in a Cell”. His return to WWE was protected by rumors of Del Rio claiming no plans to go back to WWE, or claiming he’d return only for Wrestlemania.
There is confusion regarding the specifics about how a deal came together. Some reports claim that Triple H reached out to Del Rio first. Others are claiming that Alberto Del Rio was the one to make contact with Triple H. Either way; Del Rio’s return to WWE at”Hell in a Cell” was known backstage.
Del Rio’s new WWE schedule is said to be much easier than most talents under the WWE umbrella. However, it’s not necessarily a part-time schedule like those of Chris Jericho, Brock Lesnar or The Undertaker. Del Rio has ben publicly open about WWE’s rigorous travel schedule and his desire for the more family time.
With regards to his AAA status, AAA officials maintain they didn’t know about Del Rio’s WWE return until sometime on Sunday. Del Rio may be working for the promotion through November, or he may not.
