The Curb Stomp was banned shortly after Wrestlemania 31. In fact, Seth Rollins recently commented on it being banned by Vince McMahon after he won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship with the following:

“Aside from it having a fairly violent name, the visual of it, he was watching it, and he just thought it could be easily imitated by young children.”

A lot of the WWE Universe want to see The Curb Stomp back in WWE eventually, but Rollins is more interested in bringing back a move that hasn’t been seen in WWE for over a decade.

Last night during a WWE live event in Jackson, Mississippi, Rollins hit AJ Styles with a “Vertebreaker”, which hasn’t been seen in WWE since Shane “Hurricane” Helms used to over a decade ago.

You can see the move used by Rollins on AJ Styles during a triple threat match with Roman Reigns below:

Looking at the move now, it’s obvious why WWE banned the move roughly fifteen years ago. Of course, you can leave it to Rollins and Styles to bring back a long forgotten move that looks absolutely devastating.

Do you think there are any other banned moves in WWE you’d like to see brought back?
