Opinion: Who is the Breakout Star of The New Day Going to Be?

To be honest, I never though The New Day would last this long. I had my reservations when the group first started like more fans, but they’ve been one of the most consistent acts in WWE for almost two years.

It’s going to be a sad day when the group eventually breaks up or is broken up by something like an injury or the WWE Draft that’s coming in July.

The bigger question isn’t what is going to end The New Day? The bigger question is what will happen to Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods after The New Day comes to an end.

On paper, who’d think this would be the launching pad for Kofi Kingson to finally become a main event player in WWE. He’s already won ever midcard in the company and has been a massive part of rejuvenating the tag team scene in WWE. He’d be familiar, yet fresh. Experienced and new all at the same time.

Big E has the physical abilities and personality to shine as a top face in the main event eventually. He’d be a much different Intercontinental Champion now than he was back in 2014.

Xavier Woods is another interesting case because he’s good. However, is he WWE Champion good? There is no doubt he can talk and is a good wrestler, but we’ve never seen him survive on his own. We’ll have to see.
