At “Battleground,” Sami Zayn was able to finally get a much deserved clean victory over Kevin Owens in what has been called the match of the night. They’re one big botch away from a perfect final match for their feud.
In the weeks that followed, Sami lost a good match to Seth Rollins, was absent for an edition of Raw, and then defeated Sheamus this Monday night. He’s without a feud and hasn’t been featured strongly at all.
According to a report from FOXSports.com, Sami Zayn is just one of many WWE superstars who are being kept off of the “Summerslam” card this Sunday for unknown reasons.
“Summerslam” is going to be an insane four-hour show, but there are limitations that will keep some stars off the show. For example, American Alpha, Nia Jax, and Braun Strowman are all off the card despite getting pushes.
What makes Sami Zayn’s example for questionable is he’s coming off one of the biggest wins of his career, and WWE officials have failed to give him something to do. Owens lost at “Battleground,” but he has a spot on the “Summerslam” card. Zayn beat Sheamus on Raw, but the latter is still on the card. Why isn’t Sami Zayn?
Do you think WWE is wasting Sami Zayn’s potential by not giving a spot on the “Summerslam” card?
